The suggestions in their note are not an option for me. If I would have known this ahead of time, I would not have updated to the newest version of OS X. My question is.when will Apple put in a fix for this issue? I was troubleshooting on the Medtronicdiabetes.com website and read the following: Note: Apple Incompatibility For Download With White USB In the latest release of Mac OS X, Apple changed how Mac OS X 10.11 handles many USB devices.

Apple publicly provides copious developer documentation incumbent upon any device manufacturer or software developer to follow. El Capitan introduced a significant, fundamental change that makes it impervious to unauthorized modifications.
The Medtronic note you posted makes it appear they are waiting for Apple to 'fix' that. That is not a realistic expectation. Apple Footer.
